Dos Mil Catorce (2014)

For New Years' we went to PCB to be with my family and "party" with mah peeps and since T is married to me he came with ;)

I'm not going to lie to ya 2013 was not our best year, we were blessed with health and an awesome little girl but we had a lot of trials nothing too crazy but it wasn't breezy. Thankfully me and T got through it stronger and we have the sweet ability to laugh at ourselves and an amazing family who is always always there for us.

But 2014 will be The Hudsons year :)

2014 will be the year T finally graduates, no idea what it feels like to be married and not have my husband do homework or work around his school schedule.
2014 will be the year to save and be frugal.
2014 will be the year to see my brother again.
2014 will be the year T and Celeste will meet my dad and brother and see the place where I grew up.
2014 will be the year where I will become a Citizen (more on that later)

2014 will be a good one folks, I can feel it.

Our Toddler

There is fruit loops on the kitchen floor, there is balls everywhere I mean everywhere the tub, the bathroom sink (no idea how they got there), the trash, the laundry room, in Dixies food- the lower half of the Christmas tree is empty and the ornaments are who knows where also said tree has been pushed over a few times, our couch arm rest is now a trampoline and because of it its sticky 89% of the time but we have never laughed or loved more in our lives. 

Celeste our “baby child” is now a toddler she is a aint-scare-of-anything toddler, she has jumped off her highchair, our bed (that thanks to T building skills is high), a shopping cart, almost down the stairs this child is non-stop unless she wants to be held and that’s usually to get into something she is so fun SO FUN I can tell about the time we were taking a nap and I was woken up by one of her kisses or the time I was looking intensely at the computer and she came over and did raspberries in my arms or when she hugs Dixie randomly but there is nothing I can tell you that would describe the way I feel when I watch her be her own little person.

She is an awesome that little one and I cannot imagine not being her mom.

A thought and some stuff

Last week I decided to take some time I had left off and go visit my family in PCB as always I came back with some extra weight dang empanadas, they will get you!

Yesterday was my first day at my new job and I LOVE it, the people are super nice and the job is perfect for me. It’s really different from working in the House starting by the fact that there is only 5 people in the office is also super quiet and calm no thousands of people walking by my desk or the phone ringing non-stop I mean it does ring but I’m no longer the one in charge on answering (that alone is a win).

This week we are by ourselves baby is at Grandmas and I feel crazy weird, I mean taking a shower without Celeste saying “Mami, mami mami” by the tub is new and I have all the free time to myself last night I did nothing and it was great J But we miss our baby TONS, we laid down in bed last night and we were looking through Instagram pictures and is crazy how much she’s grown, not only has she grown but she’s this awesome little person so I will soak in the free-time ness but they will never ever be as good as my “mami mami mami” or the kisses she gives me in the mornings or when she’s tired and she puts her little head on my chest or when she hugs T because I’m Celeste’s mom and I love every busy loud second of it.

Change is good right?

 

You guys the last couple of weeks I have been going back and forward about a big change in my day to day life and well I opted for change...because is good right?

 

I was given the opportunity to change jobs and I took it, I will be leaving the House of Representatives in two weeks and I will be joining The Florida Police Chiefs Association.

 

I'm super excited about this but also a little scared is definitely the good kind though. I love my job but the hours with the baby weren't working out with Ts school schedule and daycare so now hopefully my hours won't be as up in the air.

 

It has been so much fun and I learned so much working in The House but I can't wait to see what the new job has in store.
